The colors are nice and bright Cynthia! The fruits could use more darker toning. You have been busy Fanny! The cylinder on the right is the most successful. The highlight could shift to the right a little on all of the cylinders, but it looks good on the branches. Love this Sheila!!!! I have been tempted to do it so many times when I wasn’t happy with certain parts of a drawing! Are you cutting them out with an exact knife? How are you attaching them to the page?

This is such a strong, striking image Rita!!! Love the variety of all those rich, saturated greens!!! The one area I would suggest you look at again is the inside of the long leaf on the left. I would expect more of that portion of the leaf to be in shadow and it does not currently read that way. Beautiful!!!!

Hi Julie- nice job on the sphere! You could get a little darker on the right side edge and offer more variety transitioning toward the highlight. I would take a kneaded eraser and lighten the area around the highlight too. You are almost there!

Thank you, Katy. The back side is folded, I tried to show that with toning.

After trying a little sample of one of the orchid canes with masking fluid on the veins, I went ahead a tried adding a little colored pencil on top of it. I think the colored pencil helps to crisp some areas up a bit.

Hi Marina, Leaves and stems often don’t get the attention the showy flowers do. So it is great that you have decided to focus on the this aspect of the plant first. Nice controlled toning! Something about the left leaf bothers me. I think the curve of the back side of the leaf could be defined more. I’m not sure what is happening there.

Nice to see you move into more colors. As you do, try to keep that idea of the sphere. Where is the light source? Where would the highlight be? Think about the core shadow.
