Hi Doug and Vern! With your help I think I was able to improve the drawing. In hindsight I wouldn’t have drawn the pink hellebore because it really isn’t as beautiful. Now I have an even more gorgeous hellebore to drawn that is pale yellow. I’m in hellebore heaven. many thanks again

Hi Colleen- overlaps are very challenging! With the overlap drawing, it looks like the pieces are flat. Give it a try as if the pieces are cylindrical instead of flat. Thanks Doug, the female green catkin was a challenge but Wendy’s new video on Lesson 16 helped! This video gave me the idea of using a watercolour base for that catkin.

This is beautiful Susan! There are a couple of areas where the petals meet and where the stem meets the flower that I would go in and add some more dark toning. The dark center is very effective and really draws your eye in. Great job!

Great job Pam! The stem looks great and you did a really nice job capturing the different textures on the catkins.

Hi Rita- thanks for sending the picture! When I look at the photo the leaves have a distinct blue tone to them and the pods are a yellow green. I don’t know if that is a true representation or if the picture colors are not accurate. Something to consider. I think the pods and leaves look much better now. The pods have more form and nice details. Good job!
