Workshop Description

Create a captivating conifer composition! From the mesmerizing Fibonacci spirals of cones to the delicate textures of branches and needles, we’ll observe these elements up close and learn how to translate their complexity into clear, beautiful drawings using a mix of watercolor and colored pencil techniques.

What We’ll Practice

🌿 Unraveling Cone Patterns: Discover how to break down and draw the spiral structures on pine cones for accurate and elegant illustrations.
🌲 Composing with Multiple Elements: Practice arranging cones, branches, and needles into balanced botanical compositions that feel both natural and intentional.
🎨 Watercolor & Colored Pencil Techniques: Layer washes for soft tonal foundations, then use colored pencil to sharpen details and bring out texture and depth.
👀 Perfect Imperfections: Notice the subtle variations and tiny details that make your subject unique.
