They are low to the ground and the stems are long. A challenge I have thought about but not figured out just yet. Thanks yes &#8211; some darker bits. </span></div>

I think it&#8217;s about the dark side of the stem and the dark underside of the flower that I&#8217;m having trouble figuring out. I can darken the underside of that petal too. Since they will be in the same piece &#8211; Mexican Sofrito, I thought to push the tomato towards a warm red and the pepper towards a cool and wonder if this is working in my drawings? You are correct in that the back shoud read as smooth. I might try going over those veins with ivory burnishing and see what happens. I hesitate to try to  lift. Although maybe that would work with a little tape and lifting the color with a&hellip;</span></div>
