Hi Karen- nice drawing! I especially like the segment with all the flower buds! I would revisit the leaves. Adding some dark toning to the leaves where there are overlaps would add more interest. Also, the veins of leaves usually have a light side and a dark side dependent on the light source. That would help bring the leaves to the next level. Good job!!!
Done. Makes a difference. My adult kids think I am a genius but after taking my first WOW class I decided not to take another one until I do more courses on the website. Finished Basics, On to Practice. I am guessing it takes a few years to become skilled at this.

You are certainly on your way, Karen! 🙂 In general, I think that you could emphasize your dark tones a bit more–especially on midtone paper, you’ll want your dark tones to be even darker so that they have the 3-d affect even on the toned paper. 🙂

Yes – it does take time but it’s fun time!
