The inside of this oddly shaped tomatillo definitely needs more contrast. Next time I would just make it rounder regardless of what it really is. I seem to do better with more detailed “fiddly” things than working in “open spaces”.
I love this piece Traci, even though it is driving my draftsman brain crazy that the parts don’t line up! The bottom view with the papery cover is amazing!
Annoying, isn’t it? I come from a family of AutoCAD/Autodesk/SOLIDWORKS users who’s OCD would be raging at the site of it. It was not a planned drawing and just on scratch paper so no thought was given to lining it up properly but I am obsessed with all things physalis so off I went. It seems surprising that the interiors are so plain as compared to the outside. Such fun to draw!

Great study. Those veins on the skin are gorgeous.
