I&#8217;m a little confused about the identification, though. I&#8217;m not seeing an oak seed (aka acorn). Could it be an oak gall??  Or is it the angle you chose? Just wondering. </span></div>

I used yellow and red watercolors as a base, but I got way to much green on as I worked at toning the veins. Unintended consequence! The weight of the magnolia is beautifully balanced by that fizz of bluets at the top. It just says Summer! And beautifully rendered, as always 🙂 I see where you would put another columbine leaf, but really, it&#8217;s not conspicuous.</span></div>

Biggest problem was the humidity (83%!) softening my paper so I had trouble laying down color. The leaves especially suffered, as they came last. Still, it was really fun!</span></div>
