Thank you Doug for all the suggestions. It’s always said that when trying to learn something it’s good to try explaining to someone else. I was going off memory of what I saw Wendy do, hence the similarity, but it’s a good case in point that sometimes I don’t remember quite right what I saw.In my last few drawings I’ve skipped straight to step 2, and that does speed things up. Thanks for the reminder about the shadows. It’s something I consistently feel a little unhappy with, so I’ll work on what you’ve suggested.
