Hi Marijke- thank you for citing the source image of your drawing! That is always a great thing to do! If possible, it would be helpful to me if you could include a picture of the image you are using. The berry (fruit) is starting to have some form. Right now there is not enough variety of tones. I would lift some of the pencil from the area around the highlight and create more variation of tone as it transitions darker to the outer right edge. That will emphasize the form even more. The bottom leaf is outlined, which you do not want. Refer back to the leaf you just posted, where there is a dark side and light side of the main vein. I am confused by the top leaf and having a picture of the image you are working from would help me see what you are striving to recreate. You have been busy and making headway! Keep up the good work! You will get there!
Even though this fruit is oval shaped, the principles you followed to tone a sphere still apply here. Use your drawings of the spheres as reference because they were very well done! Nice highlight and good range of tones which is always what you are striving for!
I made the line drawing. Then i tried to make the toning according to your lessons.
Now i see the dark toning ends to sharp. And what went further wrong?Your comment please .
