Hi Sheila – one thing I think helps these read as fuzzy peach instead of striated apple is to “mess up” the striations or streaks. When I looked closely at my peach – they were made up of tiny dots or dashes of colour overlapping each other. Does that make sense? Don’t have those streaks be so defined.
You know I am intrigued now to see an. Apple and a peach next to each other to contrast the differences. I think it would be fun to try! Who is up for the challenge?
Yes, it’s great to see the two surfaces together. I’ll keep at it. The challenge!

I really like the view you chose for this, Sheila. Nice deep, dark center and strong cast shadow from the stem. I agree, it would be interesting to discuss the differences in how to show an apple vs a peach… certainly a slice will tell you right away, but in this case, maybe just some more orange/yellow in the local color could do it.
Much better! It has a good spheric shape. From looking at an actual peach. I think the color is a bit off.
and maybe the highlight is too bright.

Ha, I feel the challenge coming on! I’ll take this up as soon as we’re back. Things are getting packed here.
Thanks, Sam. Yes, I’ll try the Morse code approach 😄 ! I’d like to learn how to do this.

Thanks, Vern. I’ll try that for the local color. That’s doable!
Thank you Katy! I see what you have said about my tomato. Yours is lovely!
