Hi Pat- this is a beautiful orchid drawing. I saw Sam’s comment on your previous post and see that you have lightened the leaf behind the flower. I think it helps and I would even lighten it a little more. I am still bothered that the top of the petal ends at the top edge of that leaf. That especially gives the impression that the leaf is not a leaf, but part of the flower. I wonder if you couldn’t extend the top tip of the petal so it protrudes past the edge of the leaf. A little fudging is sometimes called for!
