Hi Karen- you are off to a good start! The flower is nicely rendered! White flowers often have a bit of blue and/or green and you can use those colors to add toning. The leaves are reading a bit flat and are in need of some dimension. Remember leaves have a dark side and a light side on either side of the main vein. There will also be light and dark areas on all the veins – primary, secondary, etc. Wendy has covered drawing leaves in her videos and books if you need some reference.

Thank you Doug. I watched the leaf video after doing this one, and hopefully the oak leaf drawing is better. Still hard to do subtle veining!
Will try some green or blue on white flowers. These were so starkly white it was hard to get the feeling!
