    • Hi Karen- you are off to a good start! The flower is nicely rendered! White flowers often have a bit of blue and/or green and you can use those colors to add toning. The leaves are reading a bit flat and are in need of some dimension. Remember leaves have a dark side and a light side on either side of the main vein. There will also be light and dark areas on all the veins – primary, secondary, etc. Wendy has covered drawing leaves in her videos and books if you need some reference.

    • Thank you Doug. I watched the leaf video after doing this one, and hopefully the oak leaf drawing is better. Still hard to do subtle veining!

    • Will try some green or blue on white flowers. These were so starkly white it was hard to get the feeling!
