    • Loving your perpetual journal. I have one, but don’t draw in it nearly enough. Your feather is beautiful, and I love the poem. Your forsythia branch is lovely, and the cast shadows are doing a nice job of helping to show how it curves. Nicely done. Love the teases of daffodils and tulips starting to push up through the ground. Can’t wait to see those blooming in your journal 🙂

    • Thanks for your encouragement Pam! Some weeks my perpetual journal is the only drawing I do. I’ve love the discipline of it. I did miss one week in June of 2021. I think I’m like many people who like to draw plants; I like to grow plants too. The height of the gardening season competes for drawing time. And just when there are so many luscious things to draw!

    • I think if you are going to make time to fit something into your schedule, drawing time is the best! So, it’s great that your perpetual journal is what you are focusing on. Drawing is what makes or breaks a botanical piece. If you don’t get the drawing correct, there is nothing you can do with color to make it better. Getting that practice in will continue to pay off tremendously. Keep it up . Your work is beautiful, and will only get better with this practice 🙂

    • Hi Sara, Loving your version of your perpetual journal. I really enjoy your text style, find it easy to read and compelling. I look at the page marked with a thoughtful beautiful illustration,,and then the text calls out to me. I think everyone here would love to know more about how you add your text to the page. Care to share that here or in one of our webinars or open studio sessions?

    • I would be so happy to show my redesign lettering aid! Or do you mean how do chose content?
