    • I know this one is pretty busy but I wanted to show how the Oleander plant, despite having only small amounts of pollen and no nectar, acts as a host plant for the Common Crow butterfly. Caterpillars feed on the leaf sap , which is poisonous to birds and mammals, and stores the poison in their bodies, making them, in turn, poisonous to predators. The butterfly is poisonous also.

    • I love how you have the whole life cycle of the Common Crow butterfly here, including the munching on the leaves. I’m able to enter the butterfly’s world by looking at your work.

Oh Harriet. I’ve been wowed by your drawings before. But these 3 new drawings are just stunning. I love them. They are beautifully rendered, the compositions are wonderful, and I love the inclusion of the pollinators and lifecycle. Just amazing.
