Oh my goodness Maureen, this is soooo beautiful. I have just spent ages zooming in on your descriptions and looking at the detail in your drawings. I particularly like the five stamen in a row on the open corolla. The bit where they break away and you’ve done the shadow is so cool. Also, even though you thought you saw six lobes in the corolla, you have only drawn five of everything else… so it’s funny that your brain must have subconsciously known… or did you draw those bits later?

The colours and the shapes and the great little ‘indent’ shadows are so good… thanks for sharing. Now I feel like I haven’t been doing enough drawing. Might need to get back into it this week. 🙂
