Struggling quite a bit with this dianthus, I feel like I missed on the centre, not outlining the stamens properly, and it looks a bit muddy. Generally I’m realizing that I’m not a big fan of drawing pink flowers, it’s such a delicate colour and I feel I have to over emphasize the tone for it to look like anything.
This drawing looks lovely and delicate to me. To get a bit more definition on the flower petals I would add a touch of edgeIng that isn’t A solid outline, but comes and goes just a bit. There is a lesson in part 6 of roses that works on this kind of sensitive outling. Watch it here; https://drawbotanical.com/lesson/lesson-6-drawing-roses-part-6/

Thank you Wendy!
Hi Wendy, I tried that link you gave me, but it says I don’t have access to that lesson.
