Hi Amanda, First let me introduce myself. I just joined the Draw Botanical team and will be helping out the critiques on the Art Feed. Vern will be sending an email with a more detailed intro. Your drawing is beautiful. ! I love the color of the flowers moving from blue to violet and the delicacy of the petal cups! My suggestion would be to add more darks, especially in the areas between the flowers. You could also do more with indicating the light source. Darken the left side of the Inflorescence, so the hilight area is more distinct. think of it a sphere.
Really beautiful. I think it’s a very pleasing arrangement. The top line of the right leaf is closely parallel to the base of the flower cluster above it. Looks nice! Same on the left. Beautiful colors, too. You have a lot of patience!
Finished, I think?!! Any suggestions for improvement gratefully received.

Great suggestions, thank you Katy!

Thanks Laura! I don’t really, I was about ready to throw it out of the window!
Nice that you stuck it out. I was drawing a flower earlier. Words cannot describe how ugly it was (still is). Might have to go out the window…….
Nooooo! Stick with it!
Way to go. Yes, and do get the water-colour pencils and try them out and see what you think.
Thanks Sam! Will do….
