I love the way you made the petals look plump. Magnolias were so pretty this year but they were gone by the time I was done with lessons on leaves and branches. “:)

Very nice, Amber. The dark lines here stand out to me quite a bit. I can see what you were trying to do here; show the places where the petals overlap with punches of dark; but I think it may be a little heavy. If this black line varied a bit more in thickness and sort of disappeared as it moved toward the outer edges of the flower, it may calm down a bit. Or even if it started very black like this, but quickly feathered into gray or … red violet? Looking good–the magnolias this spring have been phenomenal, no? 🙂
Yes the magnolia were great this tree was covered in flowers and they were very large. I have tried your suggestion will try to send a photo to show you
