This was so difficult to capture the curls and folds on a white petal. I think I am going to see if I can find something with more color. Maybe I’ll start with carrot peels.
But you did a good job! You can outline it sharp and cleanly with a Verithin pencil. Or a very sharp dark sepia – lightly, but to get nice, clean edges. Wendy has a good white petal from an anemone on page 129 of Joy of Botanical Drawing. But by all means – set yourself up to succeed. I like her One Tulip Petal lesson.
