Hi Becky! I am curious what you were unhappy with? The colors and the composition are wonderful and it is beautifully rendered! I can see why you felt it was challenging because the flower is so intricate, but I think you did a great job with it! The only thing I would point out is the secondary veins on the leaves. They should taper as they move toward the outside edges (as the primary vein does as it moves toward the leaf tip) and the secondary veins often break up in to a web of small veins before they reach the outer leaf edge. Beautiful!
@douglass, thank you for the note snd nice words. I wasn’t happy because I had to take the flower color much darker than it was because I was struggling w light pink and getting depth. Then I felt that perhaps it looked a bit traced. I agree about the leaves and will take your advice into account on the next one. Thank you!
