This is for Sam or Wendy to critique on the white On white flower class. I did most of my shadowing with cool grey #2 and tiny accents with #4 on the petals. I see now where my mistakes were on the drawing in the class. Many thanks.
This came out great Liz. If I was to suggest anything, I would try another white flower and try adding in a touch more of a light watercolor wash leaving enough true white but adding the wash in shadows. The drawing here is very good. Love your petal roll overs!
I will do that. Although I’m a bit confused on using shadowing with the watercolor pencils. I tried it and it came out really muddy. I’ll keep trying!!! Thanks. I’m working on a full size drawing of these white lilies. Maybe I’ll post some progress shots. 😀

Gorgeous drawing, Liz. Your petal edges are just beautiful.
Really nice, Liz. Curves and folds are so pleasing as is the view and composition. A beautiful portrait. The pops of warm orange brown in the anthers sets off so nicely from the white flower. Easily reads as white without being muddy at all.
