Hi Ingrid- the branch looks great! I think you could use a little more dark toning on the right side, but you have nice smooth toning and you did a great job capturing the bark texture. The apple is also good, but there are still some things to work on. The color selection and saturation are very good. You also did a nice job with the patterning. However, it is missing the components that give it form. Like you achieved with the branch, the apple also has to have a highlight and a range of tones from dark to light. I see a faint highlight – it is a little high, but it needs to be stronger (whiter). The apple is also missing that range of tones starting with a dark tone on the right and bottom and transitioning lighter as it moves left towards the highlight. Some dark toning in the stem well (and a cast shadow from the stem) would also help. Making these changes would bring the apple to the next level.
