Hi Carol. This is a tough composition with complex subjects. Making it look readable is tricky. I think you have three gourds here, but it took me a while to see that. It is important to make your overlapping areas very clear . The individual rendering in each gourd is good but I think the views are a bit hard to see. For example the gourd on top has strong angles at the bottom of the gourd, I am sure the contour would be less angular. The second gourd tucked in almost nestled by the other gourds and then the third gourd at the top are all at the same angle creating a strong diagonal pull. Perhaps some cast shadow might ground the composition more. I will play around with this hopefully for tomorrow’s meeting to see if I can help with some solutions. Good job on the drawing as well but it would be great to make the gourds more 3 dimensional as well. You have set yourself up for a very complex drawing here!. Lots of work. Hope you can make tomorrow’s meeting for updates!
