Hi Doug, Thank you for your comments. I worked on the petals and leaves as suggested. I used earth green for the base and interior if the flowers and madder for the petal edges and folds.
Thank you Doug. I did not follow your suggestion as to adding extra leaves to fill in the negative spaces on the right and left. I checked the plant and the leaves are not inserted in a whorl around the base but are inserted on top of each other on two sides of the base. So the leaves end up in two bunches around the flowers. Your comment made me look closer at the plant and its structure. Thanks! Do you think that I can do more to this drawing?
