Hi Christina- your branches are really well done! Great smooth toning and a nice range of tones. The details are also beautifully rendered! The highlight on the thicker branch in the middle should move over to the right a little as it should also on the red tomato. Maybe you are drawing at night when the shadows are their darkest, but the branch shadows should be much lighter. They are competing too much with the actual subject. Cast shadows are darkest at the subject edge and then fade as they move away from the subject. Cast shadows really help ground a subject, but quite often they can just be a suggestion rather than a literal interpretation. The double shadow on the small sphere indicates two strong light sources which you want to avoid. You are off to a great start and lightening those shadows will take this to the next level!!!
