You’re right about the eraser… it helps to have a scrap piece of paper nearby to rub the eraser on before you hit your nice paper with it. I think this is looking nice! Try blending your overlap shadows a bit more so they gradually fade out, rather than looking like lines. What flower is this? It’s very cool.
I thought the shading was too dark on the leaf on the right (after I had taken the photo and could now see it), so I have softened those dark edges.

Its a red flowering gum. I just posted my finished one in colour and hopefully the blending looks better now on the leaves.
