Wow really nice. I still think there are some overlaps that you could work on, especially in the blooms and branches at the top. Perhaps try for some more saturation and tone in the “cup” shape at the bottom of each flower, and tone those cups so they have an obvious shadow side and one light source. This will help the blooms look more 3-dimensional. Make the cups in the back darker than the ones in front, to create depth within that whole cluster. Love the leaf shapes here. Great work!
Thanks very much Vernin for all your helpful comments. I am back doing my PhD time so unfortunately not a lto of time! I am going to have to hold the course for a while in a couple of days. I will try and get my hibiscus flower pattern done and posted before then! I also just had the botanical drawing book delivered so I hope to still get some practice in. Oh and I absolutely love Wendy’s bordered botanical prints, I am wondering if I can develop something like that somehow!
