@darleneedith Darlene, what a lovely branch! Such an interesting texture. I love the shreddy, broken end on the right! I suggest working on your #2 and #3 light tones, so that your highlight blends more gradually into your midtones.
Can you tell me more about how you are feeling challenged to get everything in one photo? Do you mean while you are taking the photo, or while you are uploading it to the discussion board? More details may help me understand better so I can help you out. Great work!
Hi Vern, Yes; when I am taking the photo. I think I am drawing to close to the edges of the paper. It is a small challenge getting use to the new format. When we post I am unclear how to comment with the uploaded photo. Any suggestions? I feel I am having difficulty with the highlight area on my drawings. Will practice more toning. Thanks for you suggestions and help.
@darleneedith Hi Darlene, Glad to see your work here. Shimmering highlights are a challenge and we will continue to work on these. The key is to have a tiny bit of toning that breaks into the shimmer in an irregular fashion so it doesn’t look like an empty space. Try not to end your highlight on a straight line and see if that helps.
