Gave it one more go Doug. I’m at a point where I feel like I’m going backwards and don’t really know what I’m doing. I’m finding it difficult again to know where to leave highlights. Will I ever know? ☹ I will try and join the webinar but with daylight savings ending here and starting where you are it will be 5:30am on Tuesday morning . I won’t set the alarm but if I’m up early will definitely try to join in. Hope you are all keeping well and safe.
Hi Dora- I couldn’t leave a message on your hibiscus drawing for some reason, but the calligraphy looks fantastic! Great job! You were a trooper to get up so early to join the webinar! The leaves on the clematis are looking better, but they still don’t have a realistic feel to them. As we talked about on the webinar some have details (secondary veins) and some don’t. I think what I most want to see is light and dark toning on the veins. I would also add more darker toning on the petals especially where some petals near the center stamens. When I get lost on a drawing I find it helps me to check books and on line for reference and inspiration. Don’t give up on this one, you’ll get there!
Thanks so much Doug. Might be time to step away from this one for a few days and try again. Loved seeing everyone at the webinar and so glad I joined in even if late.
