Beautiful petals, Dora! This is going to be really picky, but for me, there’s a bit of a disconnect between the top and bottom petals. And perhaps even the top petals and the green sepal structure… do you see the way the light purple petals are at almost a 90 degree angle to that sepal area? I wonder if you could, just by adding some dark tones, unify this structure a bit? Here’s what I would do: add some more dark tones in the places where the top petals meet the ones below; showing that those petals emerge from deeper within this flower structure. Then, add some more dark to the area under the red/pink petals where they overlap the sepal/green area; maybe even adding a teeensy touch of dark to the far right side of the sepals to adjust that angle slightly? Again, I know it’s minute, but I think those little adjustments could help this flower feel more “whole.” It’s SO BEAUTIFUL.
Thanks for all your lovely comments everyone. Vern I agree with you. I actually thought it looked a bit strange but I started it and thought it would be good practice. I will attempt to do what you advised and see how it turns out.
Beautiful
Whoo! Stunner! So luscious the curves of those petals. You have down this flower a proud tribute to all its glory. My grandma’s favourite flower. 🙂
Gorgeous Dora!!!! You captured all the folds and curves so beautifully! And the colors – amazing!
Wow so beautiful!
