Hi Denise- I think watching and working thru Lesson 34: drawing a ribbon and especially Lesson 38: advanced ribbon will help you create folds (hills and valleys) and apply the concept to your petal. If you have Wendy’s book, “ The Joy of Botanical Drawing”, check out pages 142-144 which is a visual and written step by step guide to creating cross contour and pattern on an apple. If you do not have access to the book I will take pictures of the pages and post them on the Feed. Let me know. I hope this helps!
