Hi Liz- you are off to a good start! With the cylinder, there are a couple of spots to revisit. I am not sure what you used for a model, but it looks like the perspective is off. I think the bottom needs to have more of a curve. Make sure the highlight is the color of the paper from top to bottom and it should also curve up onto the top. The toning to the left of the highlight should have some range before it reaches the left side. Work on achieving smooth transitions. There are some spots in the mid-ranges that do not have consistent saturation. I like your branch very much! My only comment is that the highlight is too much in the middle of the branch. Move the highlight a little bit more to the left and remember that highlights will have breaks, and curve, etc. Great job!

Liz, I agree with Doug! Scoot that highlight over a little bit to the left on the branch. You’re getting there with smooth transitions on the larger form, but keep practicing! Great job.
