The branch is from a cotton tree. Isn’t it odd that perpendicular “bone” or “Tendon” that connects the flower. So wonderful to study up close for extended periods of time. These drawings take forever 🙂
What kind of flower are you drawing? I want to look it up to see the structure. I looks very interesting. That branch looks great. It’s clear that you are carefully observing how the branch grows, and are capturing the way this branch’s angle changes after each new bud. You are off to a great start! And, yes. There is nothing like drawing a plant to get to know it well. It’s wonderful.
When dissecting the flower — I found it so odd that dark stripe on the back of each petal. Then I turned the flower over and saw the magic!
