Gorgeous Erin! The pillows are reading really well! That is always the big question – am I done? I think as time goes by it becomes easier to recognize when a drawing is done. Especially if you are uncertain, but also just in general if you take a break from working on a piece it can give you some perspective when you look at it again. A lot of times it is just small things. Probably the most common thing we see on the ArtFeed is that the artists just need to work on the dark areas (shadows, overlaps, etc). It really makes things pop and enhances the whole drawing. A common fear is also of going to dark. That is what is so great about working in color pencil. If it is too dark it is fairly easy to lift or lighten it. I am glad you asked the question. A lot I’d us are in that boat!
This drawing has gotten to the point where I’m not sure if it needs anything more and/or I’m afraid of ruining it. Does this happen to anyone else?
I think it looks amazing
