I don’t know if it was intentional Fanny, but I really like the view being horizontal! There are a couple of areas I would revisit. Especially the lighter roots look like they are outlined. It is tricky to do arc toning on narrow subjects, but that is what is needed to make the roots look like they are long cylinders. There are a couple of instances where a root crosses over another and you have put a shadow on both sides of the lower root. There should only be a cast shadow on one side which is the side that has a shadow caused by the crossing top root. Nice job indicating which roots are in front, mid and back!
Thank you for the feedback. The roots are about 1 mm in diameter so I might have been a bit too ambitious for my first root drawing! They are outlined indeed and I see how it doesn’t work too well.
