Dear Ginger, I really like the tiny veins, many working hours. I have never looked at a primula leave closely before. It is unique to have the lower part so heavy relative to the upper part.
Someone has just showed me a trait of Primulas that I never noticed before. I am learning so much here. I must go back outside and look more closely at my two little primulas. Thank you for this drawing. Maybe now I will truly see them !

Ginger, this looks really nice. In particular, I like how dark you got your tones on the right side. It creates excellent contrast on this leaf. The veins are nice and delicate. Did you use an embossing tool?
I still feel like I need to do more work, but wanted to post for potential feedback. I am wondering if I need to tone a bit darker overall, and if I should darken the micro-viens . Yes, I used an embossing tool for those tiny details, and I am just thinking about my next move! The novice in my appreciates all the nice comments, but feel free to hit me with some tips or advice if it jumps out at any of you! 🙂

Ginger, the only place I would go darker would be on the surface of the leaf that’s on the left side of the center vein. The only other thing I see is that the center vein has an abrupt angle and change in width about 1/2 way up; perhaps make this transition a bit smoother? Other than that, I think this looks pretty darn close to finished!
Love all the tiny veins.
This is nice. I’ve seen leaves like this, but have always been scared to draw them. Too many tiny visible veins. Your drawing is wonderful.

Wow! Amazing job on the veining!
