Hi Ginny- your tone bars have good range and have smooth tone. The individual tone blocks could use some more layers in the mid tones. I don’t see enough difference between 4 and 5, and 6 and 7. Also work on the consistency of your toning. I see actual pencil lines and you want to avoid that. Use a good sharp pencil and work on achieving smooth, evenly toned layers. If the initial layers are not evenly toned it will just get worse as you continue to add layers. I often have to use a kneaded eraser to erase parts or all of it till I get an even tone. I find the eraser helps damp the texture of the paper and I usually find it is easier to get a smoother finish from that point. Also try rotating the paper between some layers. It can help and it also breaks the monotony when doing a lot of toning.
