Hey Suzanne, one more suggestion: I would like to see you darken on the leaf surface that is under the acorn and the folded over leaf rather than leaving a lighter area at the overlap. If you darken more the top part of the leaf will come forward more in space!
Ah, @wendy, I think I see what you mean — to the left of the acorn cap? I’m thinking that keeping the leaf light directly next to the left side of the cap would still be a good thing? If I have a chance, I’ll try this before the next Webinar, or if not, definitely afterwards. Between yourself & Vern, this has been a great exercise in learning to evaluate my own work! Thank you!
Thank you, @susan-morris. All the undulations of these leaves were a lot of fun to draw. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything — working on a big one right now. Hope to get it done for the next webinar! : )
(I really like the “after…” It accentuates the acorn cap more, I think.) 🙂
Very Well done
Thank you, Martine, and yes Vern, I think you’re right! Thank you for all of your input : )

@wendy, I’ve worked on the oak leaves & cap some more & posted it with the other versions (before/after).
Wonderful drawing and I love seeing the before and after.
