You have a great range of subject matter Ishbel! Crocosmia are not very reliable here. The highlights are nice. I would work on the shading a little more. I think the stem could use some more dark and mid ranges to enhance that sense of roundness. The areas around the seeds could also use more dark to make the seeds stand more. Lastly, I am confused by the seed on the left. It looks like it may be cut and we are seeing he inside of the seed? I would clarify that area more. Great subject!
Thanks for your feedback Doug. I’ll work on it a bit more…some of the seeds seem to become a bit dimpled as the pod dries so that’s what I was trying to show.
