Great start Isabel! It is a beautiful page! The one thing I would suggest is to work on the shading a little bit. I think there are a couple of places on the cones and the catkins where adding some more shading would help clarify which cone/catkin is in front/behind and also enhance their forms. It is going to be an amazing book!

Ishbel, the great thing about the perpetual journal is that it continues every year! So no worries about being behind! Just build it slowly, and you will have something amazing in a few years. 🙂 This is a great page. Love those catkins and cones! I agree with Doug that you could add a little more toning to create more 3-dimensional structures and overlaps here. Your detail on the cones is great.
