This is gorgeous, Ishbel. Great handling of the white. I love the variation of color in the different buds. Minor thing – that center peduncle is pretty stick straight. It’s such a graceful composition otherwise. And I think that because it’s both dead-center and stick straight, my eye keeps on flitting over to it. I wonder whether giving a slight bend to that peduncle would work a little better compositionally?

You’re right Pam – I hadn’t noticed that! It’s actually the seed pod from a spent flower, but I’ll try lightening it a bit so it is less prominent.
