Hi Jane, Nice rich colors! I wish I could take a big bite of that apple! Just a few things I’d comment on: 1) where the two apples meet. You wouldn’t want to have a white line. In fact it would probably go darker as the apple curves away. There might be a bit of reflective light from the other apple, but it would be softer, darker and more subtle. Also, the dark area on the back apple that is shadowed by the other apple would reflect how the shadow is falling on the surface of the apple. Not an outline. 2) The embossed speckles are too uniform in value. Embossing can be challenging. I can see where you have darkened them on the shadow side. That’s good. But the speckles on the rest of the apple need to reflect gradual lightening. You could go into the specks with a really sharp colored pencil to darken them.
