Good job and idea, Jessica. Many people have trouble keeping the cylinder shapes in that exercise. You have maintained your cylinders here. Watch out for those dark lines on the left on your vertical twigs where they ross the lower twigs underneath. Looks awesome – a very strong drawing.
My plaid exercise didn’t look right. So I decided to draw actual sticks in overlap. I liked the cast shadows, too, so I included those for practice.
