Beautiful rich yellow color Karen! Nice highlight! I think you should add more darker toning to the the right side and bottom to emphasize the lemon’s form. You might want to try the earth green pencil for the toning so as not to muddy the beautiful yellow color. I don’t think of lemons as being able to stand on end so a cast shadow would help ground it. I do see a slight cast shadow, but it needs to be bigger and a little darker. You do not want it to be too dark. The cast shadow will be darkest at the base of the lemon and fade lighter as it moves away at a 45 degree angle. If you are going to do a cast shadow consider also showing a reflected highlight.
