Hi Karen, I really like this drawing! A few things would take it to another level. One would be to more define the individual pieces of pulp in terms of light and shadow. ie. less outliney. Also I’m not sure about the hard top edge of the cast shadow. The sit down shadow directly under the slice is a good value, but I’d like to see it more reflect the shape the slice. Then the cast shadow would gently extend from there.

This is a great start, Karen. I would try another segment, and this time leave a few highlights that are just the color of the paper. Having a few bright white highlights will really make this feel juicy! 🙂 Great work!
