Hi Kat- this image is still pretty dark. I would try doing another tone bar with 9 squares and work on getting more range. Right now there are a couple of squares that are very similar. That same range of tones should also be on the tangelo. You could use more of the mid-range tones transitioning from the darker toning on the right. I would not expect to see the dark toning on the left side and top as it is closer to your light source. It looks like there are two highlights and one positioned between the two would be better. Lesson 4 in Wendy’s Practice of Botanical Drawing is on drawing citrus and would be worth a look! Hope Rollo gave the workers a what for!
