Wow Laurie! Your apple has so much going for it!!! The color selection and saturation are superb. As are your highlights (main and reflected) and the range of tones!!! This is being really picky, but I think you would see a shadow cast from the stem. Really gorgeous!!!
@doug-milne Doug, Thank you so much for your feedback! A couple questions: I will add the shadow of the stem! What color do you use when added a shadow for a stem? Dark sepia, dark brown, etc? Also, did I bring the cast shadow far enough to the left, underneath the apple? I wasn’t quite sure the best place to start it Thank you!
Hi Laurie- Yes. I would use the dark sepia and a dark brown would probably work too. The cast shadow looks really good to me! It starts at the right place. It does not extend to the right as much as some people do, but it definitely grounds the apple to the page (which is the purpose of the cast shadow) and it does not compete with your beautiful apple.
Wow, so much volume! Feels like I could pick it right up off the page. I really love how dark you got where the stem attaches to the apple , it really helps to show how deep down that hole goes. Just gorgeous.
