Looking great, Liz!! I think you could add some more darks at the bottom right of the bulb; and maybe even some more neutral/warm tones rather than this sort of cool gray? Just to “tie” the 2 parts together a bit more, compositionally?
Hi Liz, I agree with Vern’s comments. Right now the bulb seems less important then everything else, and it really should be the focus, I would also consider adding some roots under the bulb for more interest and depth.
Thanks for all the comments. I should have mentioned it is a work in progress and so yes I plan to continue working on the bulb and I will add the roots!
This is a very exciting composition, the wild stem, then anchored by the subtle bulb. Really like it!
