Great page Liz! I know you wanted to keep the lower part of the tree free of details so it did not compete with the cone and branch, but I don’t think it reads well. I would suggest you have the whole tree be as you did at the top, but the whole tree lightened. The area at the bottom of the tree area looks more like it is the ground rather than part of the tree and eliminating that would also help.
Thanks Doug, I wasn’t sure what to so with the tree but I’m not happy with it. I didn’t think about lightening it, but I’ll give it a try. I see now that the tree looks unfinished at the bottom. that for your suggestions, I’ll work on it more.

Agreed. Great suggestions here, and I love the addition of the tree habit into the composition. Really nice choice.
