Really nice Marcelle! The sphere has great form! Nice range of tones, but you could go even darker. The reflected light is too white and needs some color added to it to tone it down. It is also a little too controlled in shape. If you add more dark toning, the reflected light will especially read too white and too much as a thin line. The reflected light is a glow/reflection from the surface the sphere is sitting on, so it is more believable if it blends into the the dark toning above it. The cast shadow looks good, but it should angle back at a 45 degree angle rather than down.
